The person arrived looking for a specific product.
CASE / 05
Foregon redirection flow
Monetization, context, and continuity for products outside the direct portfolio.
Foregon repeatedly faced a situation where people showed interest in a financial product that was not part of its direct partner portfolio.
Instead of ending that journey, a monetization strategy kept the interest active and directed the person to an external offer.
The Product Design challenge was to introduce that logic without turning monetization into an interruption disconnected from the original intent.
CONTEXTO / CONTEXT
Not every interest ended in a Foregon product.
People could reach products through signed-in areas, product pages, or search. When an item was outside the direct portfolio, the experience needed to decide what to do with that interest.
PROBLEMA / PROBLEM
Monetize without losing the user's context.
Foregon needed to create value outside the direct portfolio too.
The transition needed to make sense within the journey.
“A monetization opportunity still needs to feel like part of the experience.”
SISTEMA / FLOW
Turning interest into a new route.
INFOGRAPHIC 01 / SYSTEM FLOW
Smart redirection flow
ENTRY POINTS
The same problem could begin in different places.
SIGNED-IN AREA → NON-CUSTOMER PRODUCT
PRODUCT PAGE → NON-CUSTOMER PRODUCT
SEARCH → NON-CUSTOMER PRODUCT
The flow did not belong to a single screen. It needed to work as a transversal rule across the experience.
PRODUCT LOGIC
Customer status changed the path.
When a product was part of the direct portfolio, the journey followed the conventional flow. When it was not, the experience needed to offer a different transition without making the user feel they had reached a dead end.
MONETIZATION
Monetization became an intermediate step, not the destination.
How could this step be introduced without hiding what would happen next?
CONTEXTO / CONTEXT
Before leaving Foregon, people needed to understand what was happening.
The transition explained that the person was exploring an option outside Foregon's primary catalogue. This helped distinguish an internal recommendation from a redirection to an external product.
REDIRECT
The intention continues. The environment changes.
“Redirection should not feel like a navigation error.”
END-TO-END
From discovery to the external product.
TRADE-OFF
The flow needed to create value for two sides.
Continue searching for a relevant product.
Monetize interest outside the direct portfolio.
EXPERIENCE — preserve context and continuity.
VALIDATION
How could the flow be monitored?
Rate of users who advanced in the desired action after redirection.
Engagement with the ads and opportunities presented.
Feedback and NPS related to the experience.
Relationship between monetization return and its investment.
OUTCOME
A new route for interests that previously had no direct continuity.
The project added a new product logic for situations where user interest was outside Foregon's direct portfolio. The solution connected product identification, monetization, context, and redirection in a single journey.
MY CONTRIBUTION
My contribution.
My work structured the redirection experience, connecting flow rules, user context, and monetization points in an understandable journey.
REFLECTION
What this project reinforced.
A business decision can deeply alter the journey.
Explaining a change of environment helps people understand the next step.
A solution that spans pages and components does not belong to a single interface.
Conversion, engagement, satisfaction, and return answer different questions.
“A new revenue source only becomes part of the product when it also makes sense in the journey.”
